Training & Credentials

Medical depth, paired with specialized aesthetic skill

Dr. Kafali earned her medical doctorate from Gazi University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey, and completed her OB/GYN specialization at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, training in both general obstetrics and gynecological surgery. From there she pursued advanced certification in minimally invasive robotic procedures using the da Vinci® Surgical System, along with specialized training in cosmetic gynecology techniques including labiaplasty, vaginoplasty, and vulvovaginal reconstructive surgery.

That combination is the point. Her understanding of pelvic anatomy, tissue physiology, nerve preservation, and scar placement comes from thousands of hours in the operating room, and it directly informs the cosmetic work she does today.

Her background in gynecological health and surgery led her to partner with cosmetic surgeon Dr. Anh-Tuan Truong and open FemSculpt, a Chicago practice focused exclusively on cosmetic gynecology and intimate wellness for women.

The Consultation

A real conversation with a woman who understands

Dr. Kafali offers both virtual and in-person consultations. Virtual consultations are private, conducted from anywhere you feel comfortable, and require no visit to the office. In that first meeting she takes time to understand your concerns, review your anatomy, and discuss realistic expectations for outcome and recovery, walking through the technique she recommends, why she chose it, and answering every question.

Every FemSculpt patient is also assigned a dedicated support coordinator who stays with them from the first consultation through the final follow-up visit. All communication is discreet. Pricing is discussed openly during the consultation so you can make a fully informed decision with no surprises.

How the virtual consultation works

Virtual consultation

$150, private, from wherever you are. The most common way patients start.

In-person consultation

$250, at 310 W Superior St Fl 2 Ste 202, Chicago.

Your fee is applied

If you move forward with a procedure, the consultation fee is applied toward your treatment cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Dr. Kafali board-certified?

Yes. Dr. Kafali is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). She holds additional training in cosmetic gynecology and in minimally invasive robotic surgery using the da Vinci® Surgical System.

Where did Dr. Kafali train?

She earned her medical doctorate at Gazi University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey, and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, training in both general obstetrics and gynecological surgery. Her cosmetic gynecology technique training, covering labiaplasty, vaginoplasty, and vulvovaginal reconstructive surgery, came after that.

Does an OB/GYN background matter for cosmetic gynecology?

It is the reason Dr. Kafali practices the way she does. An obstetrics and gynecology residency is where a surgeon learns pelvic anatomy, tissue healing, nerve pathways, and how childbirth changes the pelvic floor. The aesthetic and reconstructive side of intimate care is separate training that most residency programs do not cover, so she pursued that as well. This is offered as patient education about her own background, not as a comparison to any other type of provider.

Does she perform revision surgery on work done by other surgeons?

Yes. Revision labiaplasty is one of Dr. Kafali’s specialties. She works with patients whose previous procedure did not meet their expectations and approaches each revision with the care and honesty the situation requires.

Who actually performs my procedure?

Dr. Kafali performs the practice’s gynecologic procedures herself. Which surgeon is right for your procedure is settled during the consultation, and on labiaplasty and labial puff, Dr. Kafali and Dr. Anh-Tuan Truong are the named medical reviewers together.

Can I do a virtual consultation instead of visiting the office?

Yes. Virtual consultations are private, conducted from wherever you feel comfortable, and are the most common way patients start. Dr. Kafali reviews your concerns, discusses anatomy and technique, and answers every question, without requiring a trip to Chicago first. The virtual consultation is $150 and is applied toward your treatment cost.

Will the procedure affect sensation?

Preserving sensation is Dr. Kafali’s top surgical priority. Her techniques are designed to protect nerve pathways. She discusses this in detail during the consultation so you understand what to expect. Individual results may vary.

I am traveling from out of state. How does that work?

Many FemSculpt patients travel from across the country. Virtual pre-op consultations, coordinated scheduling, and a recovery plan tailored to travel patients make the process straightforward. Most procedures require one trip to Chicago with a stay of a few days. See the out-of-town patient guide for details.
