Post-Operative Recovery
Every FemSculpt procedure has its own healing timeline, and Dr. Sue Kafali believes you should never have to guess your way through it. Here is what recovery generally looks like, when to call our office, and where to find the written instructions for your specific procedure.
What Recovery Looks Like
Every surgical and non-surgical procedure at FemSculpt has its own healing timeline. Swelling and bruising are a normal part of recovery for most surgical procedures, and they typically improve over the first few weeks.
Surgery and recovery was a breeze!
Because every body and every procedure heals differently, this page covers what is generally true across FemSculpt recovery. Your procedure’s own instruction page, linked below, covers the specifics. Individual recovery experiences vary, and your care team will always give you a timeline tailored to your procedure.
In the First Few Days
- Rest and Ice
- Plan for rest during the first several days after a surgical procedure. Icing the area, wearing loose clothing, and staying off your feet as much as possible all help manage early swelling.
- Your Post-Op Visits
- There are usually two post-operative appointments. The first is an in-office visit about 12 to 13 days after your procedure, and the second is usually 6 to 8 weeks after surgery.
- Returning to Work
- Timelines vary by procedure and by job, but many patients return to light desk work within one to two weeks. Your instruction page will give you a more specific range.
- Non-Surgical Treatments
- For treatments such as FormaV, Morpheus8V, and the O-Shot, your care team walks you through aftercare at your appointment before you leave the office.
Find Your Procedure’s Instructions
Written post-operative instructions are available for the procedure below. For every other procedure, Dr. Kafali and her team walk you through recovery in detail at your pre-op visit, and you can always call or text our office with questions.
