Hymenoplasty

Hymenoplasty is a surgical procedure that repairs or reconstructs the hymen - the thin membrane that partially covers the vaginal opening. The surgery reconnects torn remnants of the existing hymen or creates a new membrane using vaginal tissue. The goal is to restore the hymen to a state similar to before it was stretched or torn.The procedure is also called hymen reconstruction, hymen repair, or revirgination surgery.
