Perineoplasty

Perineoplasty is a surgical procedure that reconstructs and tightens the perineum. The perineum is the tissue and muscle between the vaginal opening and the anus. This area commonly stretches, tears, or weakens during vaginal childbirth. The procedure repairs and tightens the area near the vaginal opening. The entrance of the vagina is narrowed and strengthened, resulting in improved vaginal tightness and tone for intercourse. Perineoplasty restores both function and appearance to the area.
