What is the pudendal cleft?
The pudendal cleft is the slit between the labia majora or outer vaginal lips, usually viewed in a standing position. It is also known as the cleft of Venus, the urogenital cleft, or the vulvar slit.
What causes a wide pudendal cleft?
The width of this cleft can vary. In some women, the pudendal cleft is a narrow slit with no tissue protruding. In other women, the clitoral hood tissue or the labia minora can protrude between the aperture, causing it to appear wide. The protrusion and widening can be caused by excess clitoral hood or labia minora tissue, deflated or thin labia majora, or a combination of those factors.
What is the purpose of Cleft of Venus narrowing?
Cleft of Venus narrowing is usually done as a cosmetic procedure because some women prefer the neat and clean look of a thin slit between the labia majora while in a standing position.
Does Cleft Narrowing hurt?
